TELEVISION POSTERS
Complete the following categories as listed to help plan key content of your production and initial ideas about the audiovisual production. This will help ensure the print task ( magazine cover/article or DVD covers/poster ) are effective and you have a clear concept of your cross-media production and the tasks relate to each other effectively.

Brief summary of artist / programme (biography / overall content, characters and themes)
Similar artists/programmes ( similar in genre/audience and must have been released by target producer )
Song to use / TV episode plot summary
( the song you use can be an existing release but must not have an official music video)
Initial Narrative/ performance ideas for video/sequence
Initial ideas for use or subversions of genre conventions
Initial ideas for use of technical codes in video/sequence e.g lighting, settings , props and costume, use of camera
You need to research information about the potential producers of your media products to ensure that any ideas you have are well-targeted and suitable.
Depending upon which brief you have chosen , summarise and explain the following , giving examples and statistics where necessary e.g viewing figures , record sales
Brief history of channel , links to other channels
Summary of content :genres broadcast, most popular weekly programmes
Channel identity, statement or mission
Most successful recent programmes ( audience figures/critical success )
Any examples of programmes similar in theme /genre to your initial ideas aimed at the required target audience
Music Marketing : Atlantic Records and Capital Records
Brief history of record company, links to other companies or labels
Summary of content : genres released , examples of range of artists
Most successful recent releases ( sales/critical success )
Any examples of artists/releases similar in style or genre to your initial ideas aimed at the required target audience
After your research is completed , select which one of the potential producers you have researched you will be using for your media production, based on which you feel suits your idea/genre/audience most closely.
Your practical coursework tasks will be planned and drafted and then completed by January 2022
In the next few weeks you will be completing initial research and planning into your chosen brief, planned products and target audience.
Read the assignment briefs carefully and select which of the options ( Television or Music Marketing) for a cross-media production ( 2 linked media products) you will be completing.
